CUTTINGEasily cut with a wheel type plastic pipecutter or hacksaw blade. Cutting pipe assquarely as possible provides optimalbonding area within a joint.DEBURRING / BEVELINGBurrs and filings should be removed fromthe outside and inside of the pipe. Debarking tool,pocket knife or file are suitable for this.FITTING PREPARATIONThe pipe should make contact withthe socket wall from 1/3 to 2/3 ofthe way into the fitting socket.SOLVENT CEMENT APPLICATIONUse only CPVC solvent cement or anall - purpose solvent cement conforming to ASTMF493 otherwise it may result in joint failure.ASSEMBLYImmediately insert the pipe into the fittingsocket, rotate the pipe 1/4 to 1/2 turn whileinserting. This motion ensures and evendistribution of solvent cement within the joint.SET AND CURECuring time is shorter for drier environments,smaller sizes and higher temperatures. Itrequires 10 to 20 minutes for perfect joint
